The project IDEA is promoted by Informest – Services and documentation Centre for International Economic Cooperation (Italy) and it’s implemented together with the CEI – Central European Initiative and BSMEPA – Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency. The Project is co-funded by the Italian Government (Funds of Law 84/2001) and by the Central European Initiative.
BEA Integrated SME Promotion services
Basic consulting:
BEA free of charge basic consulting service has been available for Budapest-based SMEs since 1994. (Financial, legal, accounting, calls for proposals; provision of information on Hungarian and EU support schemes);
SME Financing:
BEA offers preferential loan facilities to new and operating micro, small and medium-size enterprises in Budapest. The loans are granted by the government, private sector (PPP) and the BEA funds: Facilities:
Budapest Small Enterprise Credit; Micro Credit; Micro Credit Plus; New Hungary Small Credit; Micro Factoring programme was launched in 2003 as an innovative SME financing tool
SME Training:
BEA has been managed 450 SME training courses since 1994, involving more than 9,000 SMEs
Subcontractor Integrator Database:
Multilingual internet database, set up in line with EU standards, free of charge application, primarily done electronically
International Market oriented programmes and international relations:
BEA in order to enhance export volume of SMEs - via Budapest sister cities relations – organises business missions in collaboration with its partner institutions in EU, Asia and CIS countries. BEA as the coordinator of the Budapest Innopolis Development Pole Programme supports innovative SMEs and their networks, potential clusters, besides its other tools, through above mentioned business missions providing international transparency for SME networks; Additionally, BEA has broad international relations with EC institutions (DG Enterprise and Industry, Enlargement, Information Society and Media); partner organisations in Europe as well as in USA, CIS countries and Asia.
Conferences and seminars:
Conferences and businessmen meetings, clubs are organised each year by BEA and its partners (HUNGEXPO, ITD Hungary)
Regional Innovation Agency Central Hungary:
BEA has set up an innovation network to coordinate innovative SMEs and their projects in communication with all regional players of the innovation sphere
Budapest Innopolis Development Pole Programme
The Budapest Innopolis Development Pole Programme is coordinated by the Budapest Enterprise Agency (BEA). BEA support 3 Thematic (ITT, ECO and Medi) Poles and their clusters connecting innovative SMEs with local governments, universities, R&D centres and private investors in Central Hungary Region and foreign partners in order to generate innovative projects for the stakeholders of the programme.
